THE PRINCIPLES BEHIND OUR DAY
Values and ethos.
Care, encouragement and meaningful
experiences for every child.
- All children should be cared for with high levels of predictability, structure and nurture.
- Trinity Hall Kindergarten is a good setting providing education and care for children and their families.
- The stimulating environment and a balance of ‘In the moment’ and loose planning gives children opportunities to enjoy and extend their learning.
- We promote creativity and give children the opportunities to be imaginative and critical thinkers.
- We strive to help children develop confidence and independence and create a positive attitude to learning.
- We provide a happy, stable and caring atmosphere where children feel safe and can develop and learn.
- We promote high standards of behaviour and help children to understand each other’s feelings.
- Children learn to care for and respect themselves and others, to be sensitive to the needs and feelings of others and to be aware of inequalities associated with race, gender and ability.
- We work closely with parents and carers as we believe that the child’s learning and achievement is something we should all be a part of.
- We support children with additional needs to ensure that their opportunities and experiences are valuable and of high quality.
LEARNING ACROSS THE EYFS
A thoughtful start for future learning.
Our mission is to help children develop skills across every area of the Early Years Foundation Stage. We use a stimulating environment, creative experiences and a balance of in-the-moment and loose planning to help children enjoy and extend their learning.
We work in close partnership with parents and carers, and alongside other Early Years Professionals, so that children who may have additional needs can have valuable, high-quality experiences.

WORKING TOGETHER
Families are part of the journey.
Parents and carers know their children best. We welcome what families can tell us about a child’s interests, routines and needs, and we share observations and updates about their learning.
Where children need additional support, we work with families and other Early Years Professionals to consider suitable next steps. Talk to the team about your child and how we can work together.
